Lance, i'm sure you'll love it, i'm prepping up mine now and the more i sand it down with finer grits, the more sustain it gets, really awesome tops!

John, it's simply stunning.
Classic, zootalicious, tasteful, gorgeous, phenominal, stunning...shall I go on? This guitar and Hesh's latest are two of the nicest guitars I've seen on the OLF. Period. Great job...it's a winner.

That's it, I quit(kicking guitar across room). Not really, but that just makes me want to quit, as there is no hope of ever catching you John! Fantastic job, what more can I say that hasn't already been said!

Hey John-

I love Lutz spruce and any kind of figured mahogany, so I liked this guitar from the get go. Also, 13-fret to the body guitars are some of my favorites. So, I'm really digging on this one.

Anyway, this is a classy looking guitar and I'm glad it turned out so well for you.

Happy building-
John

You know John when I see work like this I go through so many emotions that I am at a loss for words. It makes me glad that I build guitars during the age of the Internet for one. I hope to see more of your work as I love to play great guitars!

I just bought a bunch of that lutz and am waiting anxiously. It sure looks good. Any comments about its' workability sound etc? Did I make the right choice in wood???

A truly beautiful guitar. I especially like the wood sandwiched between the purflings on the top.

Wow.. I'm really humbled by all the incredible compliments. Be assured I'm
not deserving, but I do appreciate it none the less.

AS for the Lutz...it was/is VERY stiff. That is the single most desirable factor
in top wood to me. I thinned this top out to about .100-.105 and it was still
really stiff....I just don't like to go below .100 as I think in time it will break
in and be the better, for not sacrificing any structural integrity. In short, I'm
VERY impressed with the Lutz, and be assured I WILL be getting more an
using it in the future a lot. I got mine from Shane over at high mountain
tonewoods, and he is awesome to deal with, and I believe Bob C has some
stuff he gets from Shane as well.

So John, I have been watching your videos... That means my next effort should turn out that well too, Right?

Well, that and another hundred instruments.

Great work. I am a fan of your production - video and in wood.

John, you are worthy, Your attention to detail is excelent and by the looks your execution is perfect as perfect can be.

Any chance at a shot of the back of the head stock? I see you went one piece neck on this one (not 5 piece laminated). I also realy like the little truss rod end cover, what truss rod are you using? Also the FWI looks great.

Absolutely beautiful guitar! I love the medium brown in the purfling - a nice tonal transition from the BRW binding to the Lutzii top. What did you use for the brown purfling?

Way cool!

Dennis

John,

Very clean, very tasteful design. I'm becoming a big fan of small bodied guitars. Keep up the good work. I love your guitars, even if you're from Oklahoma.
